Proverbs 3:5-6

First of all, let me give the definition of the word “Christian.” In layman’s term the word Christian/Christianity is derived from the word Christ. Christianity is not a religion as opposed to what some people understand. It means believer and follower of Christ Jesus, thus they are the people who builds a relationship with Jesus the Lord. They follow and obey His statutes which were written in the holy bible. They do God’s business and God do their business creating a mutual relationship between him and God.

You may be wondering why I’ve stated the above subject “true Christian”, is there any “false Christian?” Sadly I must say yes, there are sham Christians and just pretending to be. Some maybe they don’t know the meaning of Christianity so they just claim to be Christians, some maybe they have been brought up as so called Christian so they think they are Christian without living as such, some maybe to gain benefits from their Christian friends/community so they prefer to join these groups, or some maybe has the intention to destroy the name of Christianity so after pretending to be involve in the community they tend to do things which will put its name to shame. A true Christian is someone whom in his heart believe that Jesus is Lord, Jesus is his God, that he can’t live without Jesus for He is his life, that he must observe and keep God’s commandments and should repent sincerely when he/she committed a sin, that Jesus Christ should be the centre of his/her life.

What kind of life do you think a true Christian has? The answer is very simple. He finds peace and contentment in his life. He’s appreciative to each blessing that he receives, he gives back all the glory to the Lord, and he is not troubled of the circumstances in his life. Though I strongly disagree to anyone who will say that life of a Christian is perfect and danger free. No it’s not, but one thing is for sure, it’s completely awesome. Being a Christian doesn’t make you free from problems and trials which non-Christian also experience, there is no excuse. Actually, bullets from enemy’s gun will continuously fire, more and more especially to Christians as because the enemy doesn’t want Christians to prosper and give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely the devil will never succeed, for it is written in Romans 5:3-5 in the bible, “… we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” The difference between Christians with unbelievers is how they live their life, the way they view the test and tribulations in their lives and how they deal with them. For unbelievers, it’s easily for them to lose hope, fall down, and drive themselves to sin once the sufferings come. Unlike for a true Christian, for them there’s always hope, that every circumstances is a way of God to teach them and impart a new level of learning and faith for them. The trouble they are facing is just another God’s way of putting them into a total dependence on Him, hence another God’s way to prove Himself how He loves us that he will never leave us nor forsake us no matter what issues in life we are in. That these trashes in life can be converted to gold when you are with Him, and that whatever impossible to us is possible with Him, for they know that God is a big God, certainly bigger that their problems in life. Christians in times of trouble finds peace and knows how to wait patiently, for they hold on to God’s promise, that God’s ear is not deaf and His arms is not short to reach us, and He will always be our very present help. Since Christians do let God to rule their lives and have a full control on it, including their will, they find no reason to be bothered and to be worried. For they believe that God will pull them through from wherever conditions they are in. For Christians, Jesus Christ is the all knowing God and He is limitless.

In other words, life of a Christian is in fact much targeted by the enemy. However, Christians view the war in a different perspective that is lead by the Holy Spirit, thus makes them unassailable and bullet proof. Hallelujah!
